"Burning Rubber" centres on the rush of instant attraction, capturing the split second when you see someone, your heart rate climbs, and everything else in the room fades away. I wrote this one in my basement studio the very next morning after watching sparks fly between a couple of strangers. Once I hit that first line, "Walked in just trying to catch a break," the whole song just poured out. This track captures the reckless adrenaline of meeting someone new, like flooring it on a backroad bend. It's a high-energy snapshot of intensity that stays focused on the thrill of the chase and the memories that stay with you. Music has been my escape for as long as I can remember. “Cowboy” came from that feeling of missing someone and realizing how hard it is to move on when everything reminds you of them. It was the first track I ever made on Logic Pro, and the original guitar beat I created ended up staying in the final version. While watching Yellowstone, I was drawn to its rugged, Western energy and wanted to bring that same spirit into the song. The song reflects that push and pull between holding on and letting go, blending a cinematic country sound with real emotion and a sense of strength that comes from moving forward.
